When we finished there we headed over to the Southbank. We happened upon another pub that was in a completely non-touristy part of town. They had signs that said "best burgers in London" so we thought we'd take a chance. It was wonderful & even had a bit of an Austin vibe.
We headed to Tate Modern, a modern art museum and walked around a bit. After the museum we headed next door to the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. It is a recreation of the original built 15 years ago but was made in the exact way it had been in Shakespeare's day. We were also allowed into the theater to watch rehearsals for Richard III. We evidently saw one of the best classical British actors.
We headed back to the flat & got ready for dinner and a West End show. We had delicious Indian food at Punjab which is the oldest north Indian restaurant in the UK. After dinner we headed to see "We Will Rock You" which is a West End show using music from the band Queen. It was a goofy, fun, rock concert type of a night.
We finished the night with drinks and desserts at Jamie's Italian restaurant. It's owned by Jamie Oliver and we were avoiding it a bit for that reason but it was the only thing within walking distance of our flat that was still open. It ended up being wonderful and the most relaxing meal while we were in London. It was such a fun night!
