Summer time fun

4th of July

Week 35 fell on 4th of July

The Ensign's had a joint party with their next door neighbors for the 4th.  We had amazing food, a ping pong tournament, and finished the night off with the Wells Branch fireworks.

Austin Baby Shower

The weekend of June 22nd our Missional Community hosted a baby shower for us in Austin.  It was a beautiful shower where everybody brought a book instead of a card and everything was decked out in yellow.  It was a great mix of my family (both biological and church), grad school friends, and a few work friends as well.  We were so blessed by the celebration and the generous gifts.  We have also loved looking through all of the books.  Here are a ton of pictures to share...

My Oma crochets baby blankets for one of the local hospitals.  I've told her for 8 years that I want one but she said she would wait until I was pregnant.  This was my gift and my mom said it's been in her closet for 8 years.  I adore my Oma!

Cute gift from Judie

A-Rod remembered that I had seen these baby slings months ago online.  I had completely forgotten!  When you buy a sling the company donates one to mothers in need and teaches them how to use them and their benefits.
