Thanksgiving Road Trip

We had much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, including the ability to visit with family.  We drove to Denton Wednesday evening (a trip that took twice as long as normal thanks to traffic on I35).  We spend Thursday with Vince's family from his mom's side.  Friday were Derek and Logan's birthdays.  We had a delicious birthday breakfast to celebrate dad and son before we all headed out.  Vince and I then went to Abilene to visit with Aunt Lois.  She will turn 98 this December and we love listening to her amazing life stories.  We treasure the time we spent with everybody and have enjoyed looking back at the pictures...
Mimi with her second great grandson.  The cut on his head is courtesy of his big brother.

Sweet and peaceful

"Sophie come" - she only lasted up there for a second but luckily I caught the shot.  Logan likes Sophie because she's tiny unlike the other dogs that are as big as him.

"Mack dog" was one of Logan's favorite phrases.  Mack had a blast with a human that was face level for licking.

Best buds...Mack was in heaven with Logan and Jet who is a poodle.  It's like he knew they were distant relatives.

Evidence that we need to get this pup a backyard!!

The little birthday boy with his new Thomas the Train PJ shirt on.  He loves Toni!  Rodney looks a bit crazy in the background but that's nothing new.

Lawson was sick and feeling icky the whole time but he still looked absolutely adorable...check out his shoes and cute turkey day/Daddy's birthday attire.

Best picture I could get from the squirming birthday boy

Hotel in Abilene (the second one actually - the first was not worth the money we would have saved).  Mack loves staying in hotels.  He didn't sleep here the entire night but he was as close to us as possible, even in a king sized bed!

Driving by Aunt Lois' old house

Vince sharing our photo albums from our California trip.

Mack looking longingly out the window at the birds around the bird feeder.  He finally resigned to just sitting with his head on the bed.
