We celebrated Vince's 25th birthday back in February. His actual birthday was on a Monday so we celebrated the weekend before and after. The first weekend we had a fun afternoon of putt putt golf at Peter Pan Putt Putt. Derek, Katie, Bill, and Isaac (2 friends from work) joined us. It was cool and rainy so there was almost nobody there which was perfect! We finished the night at Gourdough's Public House with Derek, Katie, Caleb, and Amber. Gourdough's is an amazing doughnut trailer. They recently opened a brick and mortar establishment where they have drinks and a full menu. Everything on the menu features a doughnut (even the salads come with a garlic doughnut on the side). We also ended up with 2 free dessert doughnuts for a total of 4 at the table. Everything was amazing but we would definitely not recommend an entire meal based on doughnuts.
Jeanna came to town on Monday for Vince's actual birthday. We enjoyed the evening with her and had dinner at Fonda San Miguel. We had always wanted to try it and she was up for being adventurous. We would highly recommend it if you're up for something nice and a bit different. It was delicious!
The next weekend we headed to Houston to celebrate with family. My mom and I had lunch with Sarah and Claire on Saturday then shopped for maternity clothes. Praise the Lord that Motherhood maternity recently started selling petite sized jeans! I should be pretty set for a while on clothes. We spent Saturday evening with Vince family. Both of his sisters and his cousin Charlie and her family came over. Jeanna made 3 different types of enchiladas and all kinds of other yummy food. Once we finished there Vince headed downtown to hang out with Chris, Krish, and Eddy. It was All Star weekend so they wandered around looking for celebrities. They did talk with Mark Cuban in the lobby at the Four Seasons but considering we have a strong dislike for the Mavs it wasn't all that notable.
