Family Camping Trip

So last weekend we packed the Blazer to the max and went camping with most of the couples in our missional community from church (our other family).  We went to Guadalupe River State Park and were surrounded by Cub Scouts.  Despite some late nights/early mornings, dirty dogs, and a dead battery Sunday morning we had a blast.  We took quite a few pictures of the adventure which depict it better than I could explain:
We had all of the food for the group plus our stuff.  Mack had a tiny corner in the backseat and the guitar fell on him a few times.  He loved it!

We had two visitors on Friday night

Early Saturday morning...Derek was ready for adventure

We called him "Mudbeard" the whole weekend...filthy

Delicious pancakes and bacon for breakfast

Emma longing for some bacon

Our first hike down to the river

Sammy and Amber

They can't keep from playing for more than half an hour or so, even if it's in the middle of a river

Ensign family

Boys making sandwiches

The only picture we managed to get of Kate and Corey

Amber - I couldn't help myself, too fun

Second trip down to the river

More bacon and eggs soaked in bacon grease and covered with cheese...food is the best part about camping

Ready to go home

After his bath.  We have never seen him sleep so long or so hard.
